GCG Turbos branded Turbocharger heat bag, designed to be fitted to the turbocharger's exhaust housing.
When a turbocharged vehicle is under high load, the turbine housing on the turbo can get extremely hot, as can the manifold and dump pipe. Turbo bags have numerous benefits for performance street/strip turbocharged vehicles, the most important being the reduction of under bonnet temperatures, and the protection of parts surrounding the exhaust housing. They also benefit by keeping heat inside the turbine housing, which allows the turbocharger to come onto boost a little quicker.
The inside of these bags are rated to 800°c.
Fits Garrett T4 housings in an external wastegate style. These housings are commonly found on the Garrett T04Z. These bags are quite universal, with fitment through a lot of the Holset/Greddy/Mitsubishi and large frame IHI range.
